Hey all.

My wife and I recently got into this hobby and we're already spending way too much time and money on this. It's great!

We've put together a little collection over the last couple of weeks:

King of Tokyo
King of New York
Pandemic
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Tsuro
Fury of Dracula
Roll For It
Gloom

It was actually King of Tokyo that got us into the hobby. We are both lifelong giant monster fans, and a friend recommended it to us. We were hooked!

Roll For It and Tsuro are both awesome for quick, "I'm wiped from a day of work, let's play something quick then go to bed" games.

Anyways, another friend pointed me here and it seems like a great community!

Welcome to the hobby!

I also am some what new (about 4 months in to it) and have had a great time playing new games with people that also are new to this hobby.

I have just added Sushi Go Party, it is fun game very good for a group of people. I have been wanting to purchase Roll for it, may I ask what is it that you enjoy the most about it?

Roll For It is just so wonderfully simple, and a great balance of luck and strategy. Choosing to leave your dice on the table and gamble or start fresh is nail biting. Abandoning a card and taking your dice back then rolling what you just needed is so (wonderfully) maddening!

It has the simplicity of a casino game like black jack, with a great playtime of 10-15 minutes so it's great to bring to work and play with a coworker on break.

Very nice collection indeed.

Don't forget to add them to your profile.

Also, if I may be so bold to recommend a few titles:

Carcassonne
Alhambra

If you are looking for 2 player games then Patchwork is a good one. So is Star Realms a good 2 player if you want to get in to Deck Building.

If you think you spend too much time on games now, wait until you fall in love with BGG. It's almost as addicting as gaming itself.

Welcome to the community!

Welcome to the club! I've only been on here for a year and a half, but I've quickly grown to love the place
And here's some GeekGold to buy yourself an avatar. It makes recognizing your own posts so much easier zombie

Thank you kindly!

My wife and I are both certified horror nuts, so we definitely gravitated towards that theme to begin our board gaming adventures.

Welcome to the hobby. We're all addicts here but don't worry, the spending should slow down in a few years!

Welcome, Braden! Having a spouse who enjoys gaming is the best. I had the pleasure of playing King of Tokyo for the first time last weekend and even won!

Welcome to the vortex.

If you're after 2-player games (to play with your wife after dinner), I can certainly recommend some of my wife's favourites.
