Looking for something smaller, cheap but also fun coop games. Would be a plus if any suggestions were thematic as well. Thanks guys

FUSE - quick, fun little dice game.. plays in 10 minutes exactly.
Hanabi - I liked this game first few times I played it, but it doesn't have a lot of replay ability to me.
Codenames - box is larger than it needs to be.. not completely co-op, but there's a definite teaming aspect..

I own and play a good number of coop games. Here are some that are smaller, cheap and fun, IMO...

- Hanabi (great coop, but not thematic)
- Forbidden Island (simpler coop, good theme)
- Forbidden Desert (like Forbidden Island, but slightly more involved)
- Burgle Bros. (meets all requirements, except it's not cheap)

Beyond Baker Street
The Grizzled

Also, if player count isn't a limiting factor, any of the games in the "Oniverse" (Onirim, Sylvion, Castellion) all play 2P coop.

I'd suggest Samurai Spirit The box is only as big as it needs to be, you can get it for around $20 on Amazon, and it is a pretty solid coop.

Pretty Sure that the Pack O' Game SHH is the smallest co-op game with tangible components. The $6 price tag is also among the cheapest out there.

As for fun and thematic, those are subjective - it's a silent word-building game, so if those appeal to you, pick it up.

Another vote for The Grizzled. If you enjoy it than there is an expansion that adds to the fun, but is not necessary.

Forbidden Island is good.

You could also check out games by Family Pastimes. They mostly put out cooperative games, and their stuff is on the inexpensive side. I have mainly played their children's games (Granny's House and Princess).
