Dice & Mystics Fringe - October 15th 2016

What is it?

During the SPIEL ESSEN many visitors regretted having next to no room to try out games they had bought or considered buying.
Help is at hand: SPIEL visitors can unbox and play at our Dice & Mystics location in Bochum
, just 15 to 20 minutes by car, sit down comfortably at large well-lit tables, share experiences and have a glimpse at what others bought in turn - all free of charge!
The Dice & Mystics Fringe is non-commercial. All we want is give fellow board gamers a chance to safely unbox and enjoy. There is space and time to play from 16.00 to 24.00 p.m.; however, places are limited, so we kindly ask you to contact us and make an appointment.

You would like to come?

Contact us on DiceAndMystics@tidenreich.com and make an appointment, giving your name, address and contact dates so that we can put you on our guest list (registration ends on 08.10.2016). We can give you directions on how to find us (just 3 turns from the autobahn; also by public transport).

For further orientation, here is the text of our recent mail we sent to all on our current list:

Dear guests and fellow gamers,

the SPIEL is approaching and we are looking forward to meeting you all at our Dice & Mystics Fringe.

(You will find descriptions of how to find us attached to this mail.)

You are welcome to bring your newly purchased games, unbox and leave all the cardboard and wrapping behind, which will make for a lighter luggage. We are looking forward to an exciting game night. Our guild members and their own games are going to be there as well, to answer questions, offer their help, and, of course, enjoy the games!

As a special treat for you, we are happy to announce that Dragon Dawn Productions are going to demo their games Perdition’s Mouth and Black Hat for you (from approximately 19.30 p.m.).

There will very probably be a demo of a new game prototype from Belgian designers, too.

Our caterer, Royal Kebap House, will be present to take your food (and drink) orders at 18.00 p.m. and again at 21.00 p.m. With this e-mail we are sending you their special price menu for our event in English. German menus will be available at the event. Please take note that there is going to be an additional deposit on all bottles and cans. However, the coffee is on us!

Make sure you have cash and some small change on you, as the Royal Kebap House do not accept credit card or EC card payment. There is a kiosk opposite our location which sells sweets and drinks (no alcohol, please) if you would like to stock up your provisions on arrival, but they will not be open late (varying opening times, too). Please do not smoke on the premises; for smokers there is a large ash tray provided at the roofed entrance.

No liability for wardrobe: There is plenty room to hang your coats, but please look after your things by yourselves. The outside door will be kept closed, but our Mandalorian guard at the entrance will let you in and tick you off on the guest list when you arrive.

The Parish of ST. Engelbert have a heart for board gamers, so they do not charge us for the use of their community centre and its facilities. However, if you like, you are welcome to make a small donation (you could also donate your empty bottles and cans and at the same time save yourself the trouble of returning them), but do not feel any obligation to do so. Quote: “We would simply like to make everybody feel welcome to Germany and accept our hospitality.”

Looking forward to meeting you in person, your

Dice & Mystics Board Game Guild

Have fun!
