Yes...the number of boards used to make up the board scales with the number of players...the auction may not be as interesting with just two however.

The interaction is direct, intuitive and sometimes rough
The game is playable under 1 hour, the auction system is less interesting and more brutal : true, but is is faster and the game is more focused on the construction of the network. The turn order is still very important during the last two rounds when the number of passengers are becoming scarce on some maps.
