Wasn't this one of the "final straw" scandals that would cost him the nomination?

Or is this new?

Try listing a law he hasn't broken or deplorable behavior he hasn't engaged in. It would be easier.

I'd say they save it for when he loses.

It's okay when Democrats do it?
They are two different things. Trump allegedly broke U.S. law, while Obama is trying to legalize business relations with Cuba. Additionally, it seems different people have already shown that this is a story because conservatives have come down on Obama for trying to legalize, while their presumed candidate broke laws to take the very actions Obama is trying to legalize.

EDIT: A parallel, let's say that Obama was trying extremely hard to legalize Marijuana and conservatives keep criticizing him for it. Then we find out that Trump made money importing MJ from mexico and selling it. Do we really hold Obama to the same standard here?

It is awesome! I wish he would do more.

If "it" is trying to normalize relations with Cuba, then yes.

If it is skirting US law to illegally bypass the embargo, then no.

Let's repeal the embargo so everyone can spend money there, not just Trump.

Whether one was in support of the embargo or not, I am not for disobeying laws that you disagree with.

Have you changed your political position to anarchist?

Sometimes breaking particular laws is the best way to get them changed. Civil disobedience.

I think this was greed and not civil disobedience.

True, but not when you represent people who do not want it changed.

That is just self serving (establishment) hypocrisy.

But it's an obvious hole in the argument you should never disobey the law (as is jury nullification).

Anyway... i was wrong about the reason trump lost florida. I thought it was the Miss Housekeeping comment but apparently this issue is resonating unusually strongly with conservative cubans. When it turned out Trump had done this, he lost many conservative votes in Florida.

But his "Miss Housekeeping" comment probably didn't help.

True, but that applies as much to any otehr candidate as well (the only reason this reason for outrage about this had been raised).

You can hardly condemn Clinton's lawbreaking and then absolve Trumps. This is just another example of how Trump is just Clinton +.

It seemed like an overstatement that wouldn't be true in the case of bad laws (esp in view of the civil rights movement).
