Hello All,

Games mechanics and rules are all done! have been play testing with multiple crowds and have gotten very positive feedback. All im working now is the final art!

What is The Throne Chronicles?
Its a race/battle for the Throne. The elements are at War! Defeat other warriors, get followers, control the board and conquer the land!

What's the Setup?
Each player chooses an element (fire, water, nature, electricity) and chooses his Warrior.

Simply place the starting point (4 exit tile) and each player on one of the exits.

So how do you play?
Each players turn he/she must roll a die and move to corresponding color on path. If the path ahead does not have the color then he must draw a new tile.

Some tiles will have settlements, you must conquer settlement and leave a follower there to protect from other player warriors.

How do i get followers?
In some tiles you will find encounters.

After you prove you are worthy in battle and win an encounter. he will be your follower. (A follower is an enemy defeated)

Movement.
Roll the dice and move. You can move in any direction except backwards unless you get 2 or 3, if color then you must move forward, left or right as long as the tiles permit it.

Attack.
If you come across another player you battle, rolling the 3 dice for attack, defend or be attacked.

This battle continues until one warrior has been defeated, if he currently as followers those followers are the victors followers now. the defeated warrior returns to closes settlement or start point.

Healing and items
some tiles will give you items and potions. These include weapons, armor and potions. Some potions will give you Rage (giving you more attack points) and others will be health potions.

How do i win?
Simple, in your journey in the woods you will come across the other players who you will have to battle to death. Players get 3 lifes each. Once player has lost all 3 lives he is out of the game.

the other objective in game is to capture as many villages as possible. If the games last until all path tiles are used then the player who has the most points (houses/villages) wins the game.
And now some images

Movement

Golden rule is players must move always forward, left or right but ever backwards unless he rolled 2 or 3.

1. Before we start moving we need to choose who will get head start.
a. Each player will roll the die with numbers and whoever gets the lowest number goes first.
b. The rest of the turns will be in order of the numbers they rolled in the die.
2. Now that we have turns. Player rolls die with element colors. The Die has 4 colors and the numbers 2-3.
3. After player rolls the die he will draw a path card and start laying in front of the player totem.
4. Player will move to the element color indicated on die or move the number of spaces shown ( 2 or 3)
5. Each player will do the same

Villages
Some Path tiles contain a village. If captured over you will be able to place a house. Each house gives you one point for final game score. At the end of the game the person with the most points takes over the land and is crowned as King of the Realm.
Each village when passed by gives you +5 HP per house.

Capturing a village
If a player lands on a tile with a village and has at least one follower available he can take it over. If it belongs to none of the players, he can choose to take it over (see next point for take over when owned)
Warrior must then battle the guardian of the village and only if guardian is defeated then village now belongs to that player.
In order to leave protection (and score points) a player must leave a follower in the village. Meaning you must have at least one follower to capture a village.
The defense points can be upgraded by buying defense outpost and other items, decreasing the chance of a village to be taken over by another player.
They can be taken over if the village’s defenses are destroyed as well as the followers left to defend. Points can be added for defense turrets and also the total number or residents at each location.

Turrets and barricades are bought with Trallis coins.
Taking village already capture

If a player lands on a village already capture by another player he is able to take over that village if he has more points with him. Each item is worth one point and in order to capture a village the attacker must have at least one more point.
Item Role
Mushroom House (x1 point) Defender
Barricade (x1 point) Defender
Follower (x1 point) Attacker
Ballista Turret (x1 point) Attacker
Creatures/Primal (x 2points) Defender and Attacker

Each tile has a limit to 2 barricades max and 1 special creature. Attackers limit is 2 ballista turrets per attack and 1 special creature.
Owned Village by dead player
When a player has finally died 3 times and is out of the game his villages will remain on board with items but not belong to anyone. The village is loyal to its previous owner and in order to take it our same rules apply as if owned.

Guardians

Guardian’s health will be 10 by default and 5 damage. Guardians were created by powerful wizard to protect villages, the magic allows then to increase health depending on the size of theat. His health and damage is increases per follower a Warrior has.
Each follower gives him 10% HP

# Followers Health Additional health
0 10 0%
1 11 10%
2 13 20%
3 17 30%

Events

When events occur, another player must ready the card out loud to everyone. The player who has the event occurring makes a choice and then rolls normal dice to see the outcome.

Example:

“You find a broken chariot in your path, Rabbit driving chariot asks for your help. Will you help him?” Player decides to help or not. If no then he continues his way and nothing happens. If yes then player must roll die and see for results. The card reads as results 1-3 Chariot owner is grateful and pays you with 4 gold. Also offers you a ride to the next same element square. 4-6 it’s a trap. You get ambushed by thieves and lose all your items and go back 3 spaces while you ran away.

This makes the result from every event vary. You may find a card that has same event however different outcomes.

Primals and Creatures

Some events also contain creatures or a primal it can go from finding a Manticore with a broken leg and you decide to help it. If the die rolls in your favor (has same mechanic as event, it may attack you or be grateful) you may use that creature later in game for an attack or defend a village.
This creature cards are a onetime use only. If you roll in your favor you must get the card for the creature and can have it in player mat until used.

What is a Primal?
It is an animal that did not evolve the same way. These creatures are savages with a less developed brain. Their animal instinct govern their decisions and are not capable or rezoning. However it can be controlled.

*YOU DO NOT LOSE CREATURE OR PRIMAL WHEN YOU DIE LIKE OTHER ITEMS IT IS KEPT UNTIL USED.ONE TIME USE ONLY*

Items and shop
You can buy items at any time any place, however if you decide to buy an item this replaced any other actions such as a movement or healing. You can only do one action each turn. You may decide to buy 1 or 5 items as this still counts as one action.

Bridges
In the path tiles you will occasionally find bridge cards. This allow you to more from one tile to another like you couldn’t before. This can be placed and will remain in game till end of game. Cannot be removed.
When bridge tile is drawn you discard the tile and grab a bridge. You can safe bridge until you want to use it.
See image for correct use of bridge. It must connect both sides exact. It cannot be cover any house or be in diagonal.
