My current Miniature/token storage is a Molded Plano Stow-n-go:
https://jet.com/product/detail/cfac367c28eb428bb105456085265...:ggl:b_nj_dur_gen_hardware_a3_b1:hardware_accessories_tool_storage_organization_a3_other:naLA_642468943_30036564742_pla-161705583900:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&gclid=COHZ3ZDMts8CFeNtMgodOa4NFA&gclsrc=ds

It was great to hold the main game and some items from the cooperative expansions, but once I purchased the Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Treaty of Champions expansion I realized that it's too shallow for some of the new miniatures.

Does anyone have any storage recommendations that will be deep enough to hold the large figs and large enough for my plans to buy future monster expansions?

I'm currently using the "Organizer Softmaster Junior" from Stanley. No idea whether that is available in the US. Here is a link to the German description:
http://www.stanleyworks.de/products/detail/Handwerkzeuge+und...

The box is big enough to hold even the largest monsters and you can connect multiple boxes with the clamps on the sides. If you run out of space, you just buy a new one. I really like this solution.

I had a similar problem and bought a Feldherr - Case (Maxibag), including
- one 50 mm foamtray in 4 mm cubes for fitting large figures in (one can take 4 mm foams out of the foam-block to fit large figures in)
- one 50 mm foamtray with various compartments (fix)
- one 40 mm foamtray with various compartments (fix)
- one 40 mm foamtray all same size compartments (for the heroes mainly)

(measures include 5 mm bottom)

I put multiple smaller figures in the same compartment (f. ex. Spiders, Ooze) if possible.

Own D2 plus every large box expansion, one of the blue boxes, non of the sergeant - boxes and still have plenty of space.

Their webside is feldherr.com, available in English.

Pro: All in one bag, even if the bag falls down the minis are protected.

I use a similar container system, now on my 6th container. It takes a lot of space, but they all have their own slot. Mine won't fit valyndra unfortunately.

So how are people liking the Stanley Junior storage solution? If you have multiple cases, is it easy/convenient to find a particular model?

I bought the standard, not junior, which is very slightly bigger. It is astoundingly good!
I bought 3 for Descent2 and plan on getting more for Imperial Assault. Mansions of Madness might deserve one, not sure if enough minis yet.

Such a great case and easy to get extras from amazon.

This is what I use currently:

It's one of these: http://www.joann.com/artbin-deluxe-open-based-divided-core-l...

With one of these riveted to the top: http://www.joann.com/artbin-super-satchel-slim-compartment-b...

Together it holds everything in the main box, a big box, a small box, and 3 hero/monster collections, with room for a good chunk more.

Does this hold the tiles as well in some sort of easily organized way?

Nope just the miniatures. The dividers are not removable enough to make a space large enough for the tiles.
I plan to use an aluminium flight case for the tiles and rules, also containing some deck-boxes with the cards, then the minis in these containers. So essentially it will be like 2 carrycases for the whole lot (though the miniatures will need two of the stanley boxes clicked together as one box).
