This was recently released and looks interesting - thumbing through the rulebook (PDF version) to get a feel for it before deciding on purchasing.

Won By The Sword is all over my table. It's a pretty nice and clean rulebook.

Par le feu, le fer et la Foi is also handy. I read it a few months back but now I actually have the game so I'll read it again (and probably again).

Looks like October will be Balance of Powers month here. Just starting to read the rules, need to spray and clip counters, and then wrap up what's on the table now.

Finally ordered this from Compass after playing -- and immensely liking -- The Lamps Are Going Out. I realize BoP is a beast compared to Lamps, but I'm eager to go as big on WWI as I have on WWII multi-theater.

Muskets & Tomahawks: Skirmishes in North America during the 18th century

Just played a small AWI skirmish game. Rules much better than I thought they would be given the limitation of use of only d6.

Just ordered based on theme, the fact it is solo and that you brought my attention to it....talk about impetuous buy! Love the box art definite throw back to 1950's or 60's sword and sandals type films!!

Oh and a proper game using the name Agricola instead of that euro farming game nonsense!whistle

I purchased Agricola: Master of Britain too for the reasons you cited. Received it within a week. Looking forward to playing it.

I've been attempting to learn Magic Realm via PBeM. While it's not necessarily a wargame, it IS Avalon Hill, and as complicated as one!

Finally playing this, and of course the rule book is on the table because we constantly need to refer to it. Lots of fun so far.

My brothers and I played Magic Realm so much as teenagers that I tend to forget just how thick the rulebook is!

Ah, the days when we had time on our hands...

I'm just NOT getting it. No matter how many times I read the rulebook, watch videos, consult tutorials,... I just don't GET IT. I'm frankly sick and tired of reading this rulebook. shake
