I was wondering if someone could recommend a board game carrying bag. I know there have been quite a few kickstarters recently. I love that those bags come in many different colors, but they all tend to be very expensive ($100+). I was hoping to spend less than $60.

Thank you in advance!

If you have an Ikea near you, I swear they are the best bag for the money. The bags are under $1 and are very sturdy.

Cons would be:
Top is open (watch for rain, or put a towel on top)
Not padded.

Pros:
They are almost exactly the size of two square game boxes (Ticket to Ride size) next to each other at the bottom of the bag. They are among the best size and the best value bags that are easy to find.

I get wanting something a bit more heavy duty, but I just wanted to voice this as it works great for me and how often I move games around.

Plastic storage tubs are also popular I have noticed, so that isn't a bad idea.

I got one like this: http://www.thirtyonegifts.com/catalog/product/28/catid/22/sw...

Mine is black and I had it embroidered, came out to $48 or something, without the embroidery it's $35.

It can fit 3 standard square games(Ticket to Ride) and 3 standard rectangle games (Agricola). The main reason I got it is it fits large Splotter games(Roads & Boats, Antiquity) perfectly.

The Ikea bag has been my bag of choice for well over a year and it has worked out great.

"Israeli-style" military duffle. Best gaming transport I've ever owned.

Someone posted it as a response to a similar question to the OP's several years ago. So glad I grabbed one. Super strong and holds a LOT of games (it is large!)

If this is for local use, and not air travel, consider all the crate solutions. I recently switched to this cheap alternative (about $25, found it $15 on sale last summer) for bringing multiple games to the local boardgame club meetups:

Have a look for Cajon bags. The one I have is 55cm x 35cm x 35cm. Prices start at around $25.

This is the one I use. It's the only bag I own that can actually carry Kingdom Death

Best bag is one that is square shaped so the corners don't get frayed. It would be padded inside and light. If you travel to far away places then a hard box is a must. Inside you would put bubble wrap to make sure it comes through intact.

I can fit quite a few in some of my LL Bean canvas totes. I have different sizes and they zip across the top.
