You can't rob Peter, Paul and Mary to pay yourself.

After all these years, Ana Ng is still one of my favorites. When I first heard their debut ('86?) it was like a revelation compared to the dreck on mainstream radio. I finally saw them at Rice University in '90 and it was a great show. It's good to see they're still going strong.

Hey! I'm going to their concert here in Pittsburgh in a few days. If they don't play Ana Ng they should be arrested.

I love TMBG and saw them in Australia a few years back. I got into them through their "Flood" album, and have since bought most of their back catalogue. I hope they tour Australia again soon.

I love TMBG. They are like Cake in the fact that they are very local in terms of feel but are big names. I went to a Cake Concert last year and it was really great!

I've seen them a number of times, though not in about 8 years or so. Lately I've been getting my TMBG-influenced kicks from Jonathan Coulton. Zombie fans must listen to "Re: Your Brains", and "Skullcrusher Mountain" is on a near-constant loop in my car.

They are also like Cake in that becuase they use humor in their songs and write about unusual subjects, they're considered a "joke band" and a novelty act.

Ha! Just came back from their concert here in Pittsburgh. Good stuff. They played Ana Ng, so I was happy, and their new stuff sounds pretty good.

It was also nice to see the cross section that was there--everyone from 14 year olds to 50 year olds. Everyone was having a blast. Didn't care for the venue--there's no ventilation and the smoking ban was lifted--but can't blame the band for that. They are true professionals.
