Any word on the release of the revised Farmers of the Moor? Mayfair confirmed they were working on it, but didn't mention a timeline.

I traded for my current copy and it's a bit beat up with some 3rd party meeples, so I'd like to replace it with the revised editions and pick up FotM at the same time.

I want more revised stuff in general. It's insane to keep running out of resource Tokens even WITH multiplier tiles (that look ugly on board anyway).

Well, we are working on it ;-) Can't tell you more than that at the moment. As already mentioned by Mayfair, the whole Agricola family is up to be revised and that takes it time...

Is it possible to use the original Farmers of the Moor with the new edition? I ask because there's a copy available at my local game shop.

Absolutely. Supposedly, though, there'll be a revised "FotM" released sometime down the line, thus probably some tweaking/pruning of the card set, but beyond that you're good to go.

My local shop decided to put the old FOTM up for free demo play. I got to try with 3 players integrating it with the new edition. Not so hard since the components are different and the minor improvement cards have different art on the backs. I think the game played well, though there are a lot more minor improvements in the FOTM than in the new edition. We played with 4 MI from FOTM and 3 from the revised edition.

The horses have no max point value! One player managed to get 11 horses!! I still edged him out, though. Diversity rules once again!

When you play Farmers of the Moor with the new revised edition at six players, which extra special action card do you mix in? Because at 2/3/4/5 players, you add 2/2/3/4 special action cards. Or do you just leave at 4 cards?

The major improvement cards really stand out with the new ones, it would have been smart of them to make the new major improvement board hav a jigsaw edge to facilitate the new FotM majors
