Ahead in the Clouds is a 2-player sky high resource management game, designed by up-and-coming designer, Daniel Newman with art by Bryan Fischer. Gameplay lasts around 20 minutes and yet gives you the feel of a Euro that fits in your back pocket.
The citizens of the Empacta skies long for the days where everyone, not just the wealthy, can ditch their masks and breathe the precious air that they call their home. As an industrialist, you will collect dust particles from the air and water vapor from the clouds to convert to hydrogen and oxygen.
In Ahead in the Clouds, two players will take actions assembling buildings, obtaining and converting resources, and cloudbursting (breaking up the established network of buildings) in order to fulfill contracts before the blimp visits. The player with the most contracts after 8 rounds is the victor.
Also note, Ahead in the Clouds is the first in the Button Shy Wallet line that will use more than just cards. Players will need to use cubes or coins they have lying around or can pledge for a deluxe copy that will come with some cardboard tokens.
