Are there any games with worker placement and player elimination? I know most euros avoid player elimination. I had a brainstorm involving such, and wanted to see how other games explore this combination.

I used the BGG Advanced Search and selected only those two mechanics. These are the results. Not many games fit the bill and some probably only loosely match.

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars, where you will be forced to drift aimlessly farther into the vast, empty abyss of space until a lack of food, water and oxygen causes you to succumb to Death's cold embrace.

what a horrible. horrible combination!

Mind you, I'll happily eliminate myself from most worker placement games!

Seems like an odd thread to respond to if you don't like worker placement.

I recommend The Manhattan Project. It doesn't eliminate a player but you certainly can cripple someone's strategy by bombing them. There's a take that element for sure.

Would Carson City help bridge the gap?

Carson City is great. And you have guns to take out your opponents.
