Welcome to AssassinCon at BGG.CON, the time each year when all the cloaks and daggers gather to attend seminars on practical invisibility and browse the latest in ninja hoods. But the real action is in the games, sneaking silently though the shadowed corridors. Pursue as you are pursued! Eliminate your opponents! In this game, skill and strategy mean the difference between success and a truly heinous headache. Good luck! And may the best Assassin win!

How do I play:

Just like in the board game you are trying to find and eliminate your target without getting eliminated yourself. All of the AssassinCon players will have a special ribbon attached to their BGG Badge. This will assist in identifying other players. You will still need to find your specific target.

To eliminate your target you must have the target sign your target card. This is now your trophy and cannot be taken from you, even if you are eliminated later.

The eliminated player then gives you the target card they are pursuing. This is now your new target.

You must return to the Mayday Games booth to have your trophies recorded before the game ends. You can return anytime during exhibit hall hours to have your trophies recorded.

Please remember to always be respectful of the other players and BGG.CON attendees. This is an opportunity to meet other gamers and to have fun.

The Assassin with the most trophies at the end will be given the title of Master Assassin.

Prizes:

Master Assassin $100.00 Gift Card to Funagain Games
2nd Place $50.00 Gift Card to Funagain Games
3rd Place $35.00 Gift Card to Funagain Games
** All ties will be broken by the Date and Time of the earliest trophy recorded at Mayday Games **

Can someone explain a little more about how to play?

How do you eliminate your target? Do you just walk up and say, you're my target, you're eliminated, now would you please sign my card?

Is there any defense to being eliminated?

OK why not...I'm in!

I'm also curious on how the assassinations will work in practice. I'm sure it will be way less cool then what I'm imagining. devil

Yes, to eliminate a player you must first confirm that they are your target by showing them your target card. The eliminated player will sign the target card converting it to a trophy. The eliminated player will then give you the target card they were working on, this is now your new target.

There is no defense against being eliminated. Elimination does not remove you from possibly winning. The winner is the assassin with the most trophies not the last man standing.
