Being that there are 6 sets of available army cards, would the game be playable with 6 players?

I'm thinking one could borrow additional pieces from "Age of Steam", or even make your own.

Only question is whether play balance would suffer significantly.

As "Empires of the Ancient World" is at it's heart a wargame, this is simply a question of space on the board. I have played several games with 5 players, and I always thought that 1 or 2 players usually suffered from having a too small empire early on in the game. Although it is theoretically possible to play the game with more players, I don't think it would raise the "fun" factor for everybody...

Well Moritz, it seems we just need the Northern Europe, Central Asia and China map extensions. Age of Steam got expansions -- how about this game, Warfrog? Where is the love?
