The maps are also suitable for two-player games? Thank you.

Like many Ticket to Ride games, these two both have double routes between some pairs of cities.

In games with 2-3 players, players are allowed to build only on one track of each double route.

This mechanism serves to scale the boards to lower player counts.

I cannot comment on how well that works specifically for Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails.

I have played 5 2-player games last weekend (3x The Great Lakes, 2x The World) and I enjoyed playing both (although Lakes slightly more).

From my point of view both maps are good in 2 player games (as every other TtR map)

My girlfriend and I have now played the game (2 player) 10 times (3 times lakes, 7 times world). It is a very good two player gamewith either map. It is currently our favourite TtR, although Nordic may be the better two player game, time will tell.
