I think Elst is a beautiful little boxed set, and I picked it up even though I'm an experienced ASL player.

I wonder if any other experienced ASL players have played full ASL rules in the scenarios and campaign?

Major changes when up-converting would be elevation: a few (only a few) buildings would have first floors under normal ASL rules. Not a big change, but visibility becomes very good from those. I don't see that as a problem for conversion. It's even for both sides and doesn't present a big problem.

Entrenchment: Again, not a big change. It requires some environmental rules (wet, soft ground): again, even for both sides and not a big change.

I really cannot see anything that would be a problem in up-converting to full ASL. Does anyone?

I'm thinking that there are a whole bunch of people waiting for an article to come out in a Journal setting out the "upgrade" criteria, but I don't know how likely that is.

I have not bought the DaE HASL because it is ASLSK. If it had a "full" official ASL upgrade somewhere I'd get it for sure.

Bypassing makes life easier for the advancing British. Unless you rule the EC Wet, you could end up having big fires in those fields!

There are some threads on Gamesquad forums on this topic (one recent), with suggestions on what to account for in full ASL. You should be able to find these via Google searches, but see, e.g.,
