I don't believe that we will ever again, in our lifetime, have the chance to elect a true constitutional patriot to the post of the Presidency.

Ron Paul was a candidate who authentically furthered the cause of individual liberty, promoted a peaceful foreign policy, and advocated for fiscal responsibility and free markets.

BGG Socialists would not agree but Ron Paul would have made the difference.

Instead we got Obama and a divided nation. whistle

Meh, while I voted for Paul, I think Obama's done a fine job with what he was given. In my lifetime he's been the least embarrassing president we've had.

While 'moi' "B"-grudgely admired Jimmy Carter POST-Pres. achievements, since, during 'spring-break' of my Sophomore High School of circa-1974, I went along with my friend's "Church Group" and built Homes for those requiring this, around in Charleston, S.C. cool

Very Nostradamus like. Meaning you can find in this what you want. Some of what he says is both obvious and cyclical, some of what he says is not currently correct (neither gasoline, nor gold, nor interest rates are anywhere near their heights), and some of what he says is unfortunately true though he offers no clear path that would have resulted in a more desirable outcome.

His working assumption is that government action "meddling" is inherently counterproductive. Unfortunately, unfettered capitalism, as has been pointed out to you, doesn't necessarily result in efficient or desirable outcomes either. Foreign disengagement, while cheaper in the short run, can have drastic unintended consequences as well.

Ron Paul has some great ideas in principle. We don't live in a utopian world where his principles can achieve their most optimistic outcomes.

I respectfully disagree.

Obama's failure record is very embarrassing in my view:

IRS targeting political enemies
Fast and Furious weapons scheme
Obamacare
The Berghdal Swap
Failed Economic Policy (Cash for Clunkers)

he might have been a better president if he had been given politicians that wanted to actually work instead of gridlock EVERYTHING.

This is the list of grievances that come to mind first for you?! Apart from Obamacare, these are mostly minor developments in the last 8 years. They represent a list of apparently random bullet points which rank fairly low on the scale of historic presidential debacles.

Ron Paul is and was a paleo-conservative (not a libertarian) who refuses to disassociate himself from white supremacists, whose who newsletters were racist, whose term in office was significant only for its over the top financial corruption, and whose financial ideas are so far out there that calling them bat-shit crazy is understating the case. He's not the answer to Trump et al.; he's his forerunner.

That revolution logo was pretty clever though.

It doesn't look racist.
