Sorry, Hunga-- our laser-cut counters from Blue Panther have their pros and their cons.

They do have the advantage of being a quick triage method when deciding which of too many appealing games one should buy. When all else is equal, prefer games with counters which won't annoy me. :/

I don't know what you have to say, it makes no difference anyway: whatever it is, I'm against it!

No 'pro' can outweigh the 'con' of side nibs.

Sounds fatal; if it is anything resembling his ego--he likes to rate his own games a 10--it is.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess-- they're so thick that the nibs that come with it don't bother me, but I understand that for same gamers it's a deal-breaker.

I don't have a problem with the side nibs in Scheldt Campaign. Counters are thick enough that it's irrelevant to me. If it becomes a problem, I'm sure I can dig up a nail file.

I don't like side-nibs either. But these are small enough not to bother me.

I had never heard of the "side nibs controversy" before. Are there snowflakes in this hobby? devil

To avert one longstanding controversy - NATO symbols vs (tank) icons - the one-sided panzer/armor units in Blitzkrieg: France 1940 have the symbols on one side and the icons on the other, and the rules state it is the respective side's player who decides which to use. whistle

Carl has just stated he ordered a copy! - a high compliment indeed. (THANK YOU, Carl!)

Regarding the side-nibs controversy, you guys can still go back to CoatneyHistory and paste and no-nibs scissor your own, you know. Patrick's beautiful map and the beautiful rules set by Mary are worth the price of admission alone.

Izzat three games in one?
Hollandspeile has it listed as available with price.
Blue Panther site I found dates to 2010, latest.
But, gosh! Franco Prussian War and France 1914, France 1940?
And, ya know it's gonna be playable and researched.
Now, if they take Paypal...

We do indeed, and in fact, the vast majority of our customers use paypal at check-out.

Never heard of this controversy either. When it comes to OCD I take a back seat to no man, but nibs never bothered me much. If they are really bad its just something else to do while you wait for your opponent's "paralysis by analysis" to pass.
