Greetings heroes,

So today we’re going to turn our attention to one of the big players in the project, someone whose talent is well known and without whom we would never of been able to propose such an amazing looking game: Vincent Dutrait!

Now there’s a lot that could be said about this talented gentleman but as things are I’m going to save my keyboard some wear and tear and direct you to the rather complete video interview with Vincent that we filmed just for this campaign!

One of the main features in the Hero pledge is the artbook, the first that Vincent has ever done, which seems weird when you look back on just how much art he’s produced over the years, so we wanted to make sure that this was a good one! In there you’ll find sketches, test versions and the evolution of Vincen’t vision of Asteros, Work in progress shots, a walk through of Vincent’s techniques as well as a special illustration done just for the artbook.

On top of that the book is also a primer to the universe of Rising 5, with texts about the world of Asteros, the monsters that plague it and the heroes trying desperately to save it!

As well as never having done an artbook, there’s never been the opportunity to purchase prints of Vincents works before, so we thought we’d change that too!

For $15 you get 3 large, high quality images from the game printed on 320g extra white woven rives paper (don’t worry I don’t understand all of that either). On top of that each print will be individually numbered and signed!

But that’s not all. Because you know the other thing that’s never been available before? Originals. Yes we are also giving people the opportunity to walk away with a Vincent Dutrait original. Now this is very niche, it’s not going to be for everyone that’s for but for those of you that want to walk away with a piece from one of the most influential artists in the board gaming world, well this is your chance.

Now this is going to work slightly differently from a normal add on, because there’s only one of each of course. So here’s how we’ll do it: If you want one of these originals message us first to confirm that you’ll get it. These will be attributed on a first come first served basis. Once we’ve confirmed with you that the piece is yours, and then you can add the additional funds to your pledge. This is of course teh first batch of many, we'll be releasing them throughout the campaign.

Note that these will not be shipped with the rest of your pledge, Vincent will be sending them to you personally in a tracked, ensured and protected package. Whilst he’s at it he can of course sign it for you

So there's your artsy update for the day. Stay tuned tomorrow though as we have a big announcement coming concerning gameplay elements!
