"Speaker Paul Ryan has reportedly talked about rescinding his endorsement of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in light of a sexually explicit hot mic recording from 2005 that emerged late last week.

The Speaker has a conference call scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday with House Republicans.

But a decision has not been made about whether Ryan will abandon the GOP nominee, according to a Monday report from Politico."

http://www.thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/3...

The interesting part will be whether Ryan finally has had enough of the circus (including the rather bizarre spectacle last night at the debate) or whether he will take his usual hypocritical approach and condemn Trump's actions.

Strangely enough the latter course would be the best thing for both the party and himself personally in the long run. It will give the green light to the rest of the party to abandon The Donald and distance themselves from the dumpster fire that will be his campaign for the next 30 days.

Unfortunately up to now he has not proven too bright about handling The Donald, so we shall see.

Eh, I don't think Ryan is doing a terrible job, nor being terribly hypocritical -- you have to back your horse, apparently even if your horse is a racist, but no raping horses are allowed.

It's a weird day when you're like "Whew, bring back Paul Ryan's refreshing views on rape!"

The hypocrisy part comes in with his constant condemnations of Trumps words and actions, and yet still endorsing him for President. Comes under the heading "can't have it both ways"

Ryan probably wants Trump to lose so he can run in 2020. This controversy gives him a great excuse to throw him under the bus under the guise of doing the morally correct thing.

And yet is still keeping his Trump endorsement. These numbnuts even fail at doing the obvious.

When more revelations come out, they're just going to make these amazing, wonderfully-craven people look just as hapless as everyone suspects.

The second tweet indicates he thinks The Donald's campaign is doomed. Still managed to keep up his hypocritical stance however.

Not sure about that. It's better to not say anything as they decide how they wish to approach the situation. It's better to be silent until they can rally around a unified strategy.

This is about him (and others) keeping their Congressional gravy train tickets and throwing Donny to the sharks.

Yes it is hypocritical as anyone with a brain saw what Donny was form the off, and it was OK with them until they started to lose votes.
