And Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway lashed out at the Republican lawmakers who are jumping ship by saying that “some of them” sexually harass women in the Capitol. She did not name names but told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews last night that some of the members are known for “rubbing up against girls” and “sticking their tongues down women’s throats uninvited.”

I believe she's right, but in what universe is this an even REMOTELY effective tactic?

Yep. Feeling a lot like Admiral Ackbar on the bridge of the battlecruiser, sinking back in the commander's chair, just watching the whole thing go up in flames.

Donald Trump made that perfectly clear in his interview with Billy Bush.

Also, those comments lent new credence to what Trump had told shock jock Howard Stern around that same time about his having the authority as the CEO of the pagents to go backstage into the dressing rooms of the Miss America and Miss Universe Beauty Pageants while the contestants were in various degress of dressing and undressing themselves.

The scorched-earth comment from Conway is totally out of line.

She's painting with a broad brush, and the statement obviously does not apply to all Republican lawmakers who oppose Trump.

Whether she means to or not, it is implying that unwanted sexual advances by Republican lawmakers is rampant, and is completely out of line.

Saying a specific person is one thing, speaking in general so that the association can be made to any who oppose is awful for the party and the country.

Unless it is true, and that indeed those who are rich and powerful do think like this.

It was only (what) 50 years ago that grabbing the are of your secretary was not a crime, but complaining about it was a cause for instant dismissal.

It occurs to me she might be burning her own seed corn with these comments.
If she damages the republican party to help (not even save) Trump, she might find future employment options smaller.
