Kickstarter version includes wooden bits vs. cardboard for standard version and the KS version also came with the Metropolis Expansion included, while retail version does not come with this, it will be available for sale at a future date. (currently December 2016)

Fish and Wood in the KS version are wooden bits, retail is cardboard tokens--which are perfectly serviceable and the art matches the game. Note that another resource in the game, books, are cardboard tokens only, no wooden version in the KS (or retail) packaging.

The player markers in KS version are also wooden boats, which are fun, vs. cardboard standees in the retail version--again, perfectly serviceable and the art on the boats matches the art in the game.

(Note: wooden tokens for fish, wood and boats are just that, wooden tokens, no stickers, no screen printing, just shaped/formed wood.)

Hope that helps!

they are the sort of thing if you really wanted you could either cut and make yourself or find an etsy store to bang them out. Nice to have for free but i love the art of the cardboard tokens
