Hello,

I would be really interested in watching some good Tash-Kalar games. Tried the BGA vault, but to no avail. Any ideas?

Thank you!

I used to take better notes about my own online games, and I went through them just now to find some that my notes said were worth replaying.

a Highland vs. Imperial game:

a Sylvan vs. Everfrost game

extreme Everfrost flare bounce opening:

None of these are epic grandmaster games or anything, though. I'm interested to hear other people's recommendations.

I recommend going to one of the tournaments and look at the games from the top players. There is a regular tournament run by Estapario and there are always a few really tense interesting games. I'm not entirely sure how to dredge up the tournament i.d.s for past tournaments--I could ask the organizer, Estepario, who tracks the results carefully--but here's the one that's just about over (I still am finishing up 2 games in it):

And here's a different tournament, Swiss system rather than round robin:

Huh, maybe I should start logging the better games I've played, there have been some memorable ones. In Magic Week 14, the ones I played against Mniziol, ernus and Webdanzer were tense and interesting. The Mniziol is a classic flare bounce game, and also an example of how an early lead can quickly evaporate in Tash-Kalar!

Also the nearly finished one vs struffoletto where I made a blunder early on (played for position rather than claim a task, and lost both) and may or may not salvage the game in the endgame: let's see...

I'd be interested in people posting links to some really interesting games, especially with positions that lend themselves to analysis!

I confirm. Search for matches between me (ernus) and nandblock. They are always tense and played until the last move!

Thanks yes those are always close games. The game I won off ernus in the last tournament was the first one in a while.

Thank you very much! There is indeed a lot to learn from those games.

Hmmm, I wonder... will it be possible to have such games commented? You know, like in a chess tournament It would be fantastic to have access to a top player's thoughts. goo

I recall that a_mandible's comments on some past games they logged on BGG were quite informative (and self-critical!). I could probably revisit some of the past games I've played to see if I have anything to say.
