I recently purchased the Battle Systems Urban Apocalypse Terrain set. The one thing I didn't like about it was the mats. So I designed my own 8x8 double sided modular tiles. I designed all the textures and printed them off on full sheet labels to stick to Heavy Mounting Board. Before that though, I applied sheet magnets to both sides so the whole set is magnetized.

I'm thinking about bringing this to Kickstarter in the future but wanted to post some pics and info first to see if there would be any interest in it. These tiles could easily be combined with the Battle Systems Apocalypse terrain set and used for modified games of Zombicide.

Here are some pics.

As shown in this picture, I magnetized all the furniture. This is highly useful and keeps from accidently knocking things around. Each package I sell would come with additional magnets for doing this yourself. I also magnetized all the doors as you can see just to the right of the tile in my hand.

As for prices, I'm looking at

22 Double Sided Tiles, with magnets on both sides for around $125.

I could do without the magnets for $85

I also have the Urban Apocalypse Set and obviously they do not line up on the Zombicide tiles exactly.

I went out and enlarged all my tiles and just the printing alone cost around that price.

I made them 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12") as the Battle Systems walls are 10cm from memory.

The magnetised idea is neat but I probably wouldn't go with that.

I could certainly do with some compatible tiles though, I have been looking for some "Interstate 85" tiles for a Zombicide/The Walking Dead crossover. A mixture of roadways would be good and then some compatible forest tiles would finish the job nicely.

Even if you don't go down the route of kickstarting the project I wouldn't mind purchasing a set from you if it could be done.

Just sending a digital file for home printing and sticking onto whatever tiles I can find would save a ton on postage.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Good idea for making an interstate. I could probably design something. I've been thinking about how I could make an elevated road way to have some overpasses. I do have some grass/sidewalk transitions made and plan to make some more "forest/grassland" tiles.
