Subject: Scrapping before initial deploy rss

Hi experts, we are going to start a new game of Wif, we are wondering if it is possible to scrap some units before the initial draw, i.e. the units of '36 or before.

Yes, four years IIRC. But one group I played in house ruled it to two years.

Four years for inactives; three years for active powers (Japan and China if playing the global war campaign).

Force Pools

2nd paragraph:

Before you build new units, you can remove your units from the force pools if the date on their back is at least 4 years ago (e.g. in Jan/Feb 1940, you could remove any units from your force pools with a date of 1936 or earlier). If the major power is not neutral, it may remove units from the force pool if the date on the back is at least 3 years ago.
