Hello All

I have been playing quite a lot of games recently and I am finding it so annoying trying to pick up card from the table. They just lay so flush that you spent 10 minutes just trying to get the card pinched between your fingers. Also the dice make quite a bit of noise on the table.

I have thought that I might invest in a playmat for my table to cover it when I bring that games out.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to which sort I should buy and also where from?

I am based in the UK so would like somewhere I can purchase from that will ship to the UK for a reasonably price.

Thanks

Look for a retailer for textiles/fabric that is selling neoprene.
I use a 3mm neoprene mat one side with fabric, the other side pure neoprene.
This is working great as a playmat/dicemat, feels superb and is quite cheap (I in Germany bought a sheet of 55cm x 130 cm for 30€ including shipping)

easy to cut in several pieces and good to store rolled.

I cut mine to a small mat for a dice rolling tray looking similar to something like this:

And into to mats 55x50cm for card games.
Can't recommend neoprene enough =)

Where did you get the neoprene? Couldn't find a local store selling it, so now I'm looking for some online store... Thanks.

What about a jumbo/extra large roll up puzzle mat, I think they are normally made out of felt??

Or I could imagine that my cheap picnic blanket would work to cover the whole table

I am looking for the ones that are almost like giant mouse mats. Would like to get one with a nice design or something.

I gave the kids two spare Deadzone urban play mats for their dice and card games, they are well happy with them.
They are made of this neoprene people desire and could probably make cool mousemats too.
They can be bought from the UK firm mantic direct I believe.

Patriot Games do playmats, including custom ones. They're pretty good ... I have a couple for Dicemasters: Battle for Faerun.
