Hats Off
This game is made for 18 card contest.

There is only place for one master wizard in this town. There has been called a 'hats off' duel at town square. The wizard who can pull the most spectacular cantrips out of his hat wins the spot as town executive sorcerer.

Status
This is just the spark of an idea. Inspired by the book 'off to be wizard' this should be a trick-taking / memory game .

I am closing in on something surprise

The art is still a bit confusing The main idea is that you are 2 or 3 wizards besting each other to impress the most by performing the biggest magic spell. This is done by chanting different words to make a spell.

So players lay down 3 cards in turn and one final spell.
You count up the points in the end. But every time you play a card you need to say one of the words on the card out loud - letting the opponent eavesdrop on your magic and gain an advantage by playing cards that can beat yours.

Going to test it a bit - here is a screen of the current layout
