On page 5,the rules state
Quote:
These are your starting cards along with
1 mead. Always keep all tiles and cards face
up in front of you and visible to all players.

Did they mean all WEAPON cards face up? Because later on page 20 they discuss taking cards 'from your hand'. Occupation cards were always hidden in Agricola, and Michael's video shows him hiding them as well.

I'm hoping to get the game tomorrow from my FLGS (tomorrow is the release date from ZMan) and would like to be sure we're playing correctly.

Weapon cards always face up(they are actually like ressources), occupation cards always face down (like in Agricola).

That does seem like a conflict on page 5. Other page(s) clarify, like page 20, that occupation cards are hidden in your hand.

Page 20: "You start the game with a single light brown occupation card (see Setup), which you keep hidden in your hand."

The rulebook is not 100% clear in this sentence. It means to put the weapon cards face up next to you ressources.

Weapon cards face up on the table, occupation cards hidden (face down).

Love 'em even if a few games get scuttled from time to time.

+1 agreed.

I think this will have a comparatively minor effect in most games, but it's definitely easy to overlook, so it would be nice if it was in the errata/FAQ.
