Session 1 ...June 41 to Spring 42

~June 41 After a Barbarossa opening~

After an amazingly effective Axis push towards Moscow in the Summer 41 turn, Stalin ran like a paranoid rabbit in the headlights to the Urals when the Panzers started knocking at the gates.

~Summer 41 Germans threatening to encircle Moscow, whilst ignoring the Ukraine~

However, the Fall 41 turn brought a weird lull as the Axis were without either the Taifun or Nordlicht event cards (These allow them to attack Moscow and Leningrad respectively). Russian troops fell back and Tula was lost. The Axis tried to cut off vast swathes of territory but the Russians were able to hold from Stalingrad to Gorki, with a salient around Moscow.

~End of Fall 1941, German attempts to encircle Soviet Armies in Moscow, Saratov & Stalingrad fail. Stalin is running things from a bunker somewhere in the Urals~

The Winter began and After declaring war on the US, the Axis made a determined push in the Mediterranean. Starting with the arrival of more troops to form Panzer Armee Afrika. The Desert Army was a long ways off having been played in Summer for Replacement points, So Tobruk, Buq Buq, Mersa and even El Alemain fell to Rommel. Meanwhile Stalin arrived back in Moscow and ordered Zhukov to attack wherever possible to harry the enemy using the New Siberians.

In the ensuing bloodbath, the Axis would use both Nordlicht and Taifun as OPS cards to try and get away from the vengeful Russians and keep PzAA on the move.

~End of Winter 42, Tula is retaken and the Wehrmacht are pushed back from Moscow. Leningrad is trying to dig in, unsuccessfully.~

Spring has 'sprung' and Hitler has taken command. The positioning of German replacements leads Stavka to believe that Fall Blau is imminent. A double Pronged offensive towards the Oil of the East.

Will the Allies prevail? Stay tuned.
