Tempting, but a complexity rating of 4.48/5? That is a heavy game.

Worth noting that while the email and the Daily update page show $45, the actual game page still shows $55.99. So don't buy this until they get the price corrected.

1) Does anyone think the price will be going lower on this?

2) Could I actually convince anyone to play it with me?

FWIW, it shows up as 45 when you add to cart.

1) I don't know. There's a lot of carboard in the box and this is a great price.

2) Arkwright is an incredible game, and it comes with 2 short variant games that are both good, if a little flat compared to the full version. It also plays pretty well and not terribly long with 2.

If I didn't already own it, I'd be thrilled to pick it up at this price.

Great game, but you definitely have to have the right crowd to play it. Think of it as almost a bridge between your "normal" board game and an 18xx game. Very heavy and thinky, with large opportunities for analysis paralysis and min-maxing, but still a great game.

It seems to play with 2 - but how well?

Don't most big, heavy economic games usually need 3+ players?

I personally wouldn't play with less than 3, and 4 might be ideal. The whole game revolves around competition and supply & demand in manufacturing and selling goods, so more players creates more of that competition.

How did you find this deal? I see it's real, but I don't see any daily deal link on the MM site. I'm wondering:

1) Will this last more than a day
2) Are there others out there I'm missing?

Answer to both your questions is: at 1am Eastern time, visit http://www.miniaturemarket.com/dailynews/ and you'll find MM's deal for that day, with a countdown clock.

I paid ~ $65 for my copy. If you have any inkling of liking heavy economic games, I recommend buy.

I've played it 10+ times, including several 2p games and it plays well with 2. It's a different game, but still a very good one. I might even prefer it.
