I played Welcome back to the Dungeon and enjoyed it a lot. I didn't particularly enjoy the selection of heroes (Bard is fine, but Princess/Necromancer/Ninja is bad). Would you recommend the original version (haven't played that one) over the new one?

Well if you disliked 3/4ths of that cast, the original has to be better, right?

I haven't played Welcome Back to the Dungeon, but I really enjoyed the original the one time I've managed to play it. What do you find wrong with 3/4ths of the heroes in the new set, if I may ask?

I agree.
The warrior is a great way to introduce the game to friends, and the 3 other heroes have interesting mechanics ^^

But Welcome Back to the Dungeon have Special Monsters. I didn't play with them yet, but it can be a cool addition !

It's 2 little games, can't you just buy the two to have all the goods ?

I don't dislike the heroes from a mechanism view, I just really find princess/ninja/necromancer lame and incongruent. The special monsters were cool, though. I don't think I want two times a game that is very similiar, so that's why I asked. Thanks for the input, you help me out a lot.
