I've had my eyes on both games for a while, but I've already purchased a lot of games these past few months so I won't be able to get them both in the near future. Which one would you recommend and why (for 2-player games exclusively)? Which one would bring something new and exciting to my collection?

Owned games:
Legendary Encounters: Alien
Legendary Marvel
Eldritch Horror
Seasons
Imperial Settlers
Keyflower
Power Grid
Settlers of Catan

Just for fun, here's a poll:

Since I mentioned only 2 games, one could see that I'm interested in both...

Robinson Crusoe because games from Ignacy/Portal seem to need 2nd editions by default for balance and/or rulebook reasons so Robinson Crusoe is already getting that done, and it was near a Top 10 game in its lesser state.
