I was going to buy this in Essen. At the Hans im Gluck stand I nearly bought the german version as there is no text on the cards. The guy selling it told me that the english rules were available on the website. I wanted to think about it, later checked the website and lo and behold no english rules yet. Didnt buy it, will wait and see.

I posted a machine translation in another thread. If you manage to get the module book translated, I would be very happy to see it

I'm about halfway done with the rule book, so I should be able to get to the module book in a day or two.
The goal is to have everything done before or on the weekend

Now I have to get back to pretending to work

Likewise experience. Looks like I could have waited for the Dutch version even also which is already announced and available soon.....

At Essen they told me there was no English rules and that there were none posted.

I made a point to have someone teach me while at Essen.

Fortunately the game is amazing and worth the wait for the English rules!

Thanks for translating Rico!

I can concur on that ;-)
He even said something like, "someone on BGG will translate it".

I also asked a Dutch publisher if they had the pdf online for the Dutch version, but sadly they didn't (or didn't want to share that)

So great job Rico, can't wait on your English version!

I emailed the publisher who said rules in English will be available when their English partner Zman Games publishes the game.

I've just learnt the game using the German rules from the box and the English translation from the other thread.

Its not that tricky, don't let the lack of English official rules put you off.

As a summary the game lasts 6 rounds and each round players will take 6 cards from an open display to do one of the following

Extend their carriages
Upgrade their carriages
Extend their track
Move their conductor
Move their train
And perhaps some money and points

There are several modules that are pick n mixed into the base game adding contracts, whodunnits etc... these can be added and learnt as required, although you always need to include 2 per game.

Nothing too taxing, and the icons are really clear once you've run through them.

I would totally advise those sitting in the fence to not wait for a zman edition which may be months away, and to pick this up. I'm very much looking forward to my first proper game
