Hello

Years ago I discoverd Hacienda, I bought it a while ago and finaly played it tonight with my girlfriend. She liked the game, I found it too non-confrontational and too easy with only us two on this 'huge' map.
But I liked the mechanics, the Through The Desert feel, the potential hard decisions, ...

So I looked on BGG and tried to install the hacienda map generator to create smaller maps for 2 players, but the program gives an error on startup...

Does anybody have (pdf? printable?) files of two players maps?
Would love to play this game again but on tighter maps

Hoping for a response since this game might be old, but I think it has a lot of potential.

Thanks in advance,
greetings,
Dave

The regular map can be VERY confrontational if that is what you want. My wife and I have a lot of it, just work on blocking out the other player, cut out their available area to expand. We have had some interesting games playing just the top base maps. You can also use a non player color to block out spaces making them unusable and shrink the map that way. Great game!

The compass always points to Terrapin.

I'm uploading a 2-player map now; will post link when it's done.

BTW, I got the editor to run under a Windows 7 VM just fine.

I have one that we use and it works. Let me know if you still need it.

Ten years ago HiG ran a contest to create additional maps for this great game. My partner and I designed this map specifically for two players:

https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/138451/crucible-2-player-...

I mistakenly only uploaded the PDF file; the full ZIP (with PDF, rules & .HAZ file) will be available once it's approved.

That's the one I have and have played with my wife. It was difficult to put together but has worked well for us.

I really enjoy this game and would love to see a reboot.

As for more maps, the Hacienda software still works on this site:
http://www.westpark-gamers.de/index.html?/download/haziendag...

You can find map files here and then print them out using the software.
