Looking to replace the draw bag tokens with something cooler. Not the KS1 metal coins, as those weren't uniform in texture for blind draws, and didn't provide the color needed with the Journeyman expansion.

So while I am looking into this - how many items are needed? (and in which color?) - Wasn't sure if we had the #s yet on the Journeyman stuff.

I believe the totals with the JM tokens are:
20 white
15 green
5 blue
3 gold
1 orange

I've seen others use glass beads?

30 white, 15 green, 5 blue so far. I would guess at least 5 of the other colors, whatever they happen to be.

I experimented with glass tokens, but eventually decided to use pony beads. They are relatively cheap, are uniform in shape, size, and weight (at least if from the same manufacturer) so you can't distinguish them when drawing, and are small and round enough to be able to "shuffle" the treasure tokens in the bag well unlike with the cardboard tokens. And they don't chip or break like glass, nor wear like cardboard.

You can find them in all sorts of colors, even in bags with a variety of colors (make sure that white is included). I got a mixed bag of "normal" colors and another of "pearl" toned ones, and have enough for more than one Myth treasure bag (Slaughterfield, and 2 regular game treasure bags) and still have enough left over to use as markers for other games (especially useful for print-and-play games).

This is what I use:

*Glass bottles for Potions with clear resin inside
*Metal pirate coins
*Acrylic table gems for treasure bag
*Glass beads for mat markers

All of those are easily found on amazon for fairly cheap.

As for traps...

*Dwarven forge wall bits with plastirod and skulls for spike walls
*Reaper Bones Altar
*Large skull for falling darkness
*Reaper knight and torches for Avatar of winter

I was worried about what I was going to do to replace the metal tokens from the first KS. Thanks so much for the glass beads and gems idea. I have a ton of those kicking around the house!

Great idea on the potion jars. Is there anything else that needs a good upgrade?

So far I've got:
1) Metal coin upgrade (to replace the cardboard tokens)
2) Treasure bag draw upgrade (to replace the poorly designed tiny metal tokens & match the new JM tokens)
3) Mat marker upgrade
4) Potion jar upgrade
**Follow up question on Potion Jars**
How many of the types are needed?

And any other token upgrades for gameplay?

There are 6 of each potion. 6 different kinds.

Most class bottle things on the internet come in minimum 10 pack so you should be good.

I use clear resin with GW wash to color them. Keeps them translucent.

Thanks! So 36 total bottles...that's a lot of space. I'll have to think about the need for this. Do any of the JM expansions add more potions?

(and I'll have to look through the tokens to see what bottle shapes they need....if I can find a variety online...)

Here's how the potion bottles turned out. In retrospect, I would have used clear bottles for the green/blue potions, as the colored ones are a bit darker than I would like.
