Is it possible to develop a game variant removing the players choices ?
- The place of the spawn marker during the Devour phase (assigning a dice result to each available spaces ?)
- The direction a monster moves when there are more than 1 investigator within reach (directionnal dice ?)

I think a gameplay where players really endure the game's "IA" suits more the ambiance of the game.

I would agree with that. Having the monster behave randomly would be far more fitting. Sounds like the the dice options you've given would mostly cover it though.

I like this idea. You could always house rule this.

I definitely will.
But it would be nicer if the dice score for the spawn spaces was directly printed on the boards.
