Ouch:

I particularly loved this line (italics mine):

"The formerly independent, formerly principled senator...."

It's pretty clear what the writer's feelings are.....

Yep, pretty easy to understand the writer's bias. Guess the writer does not understand how American politics works. But it's great to fire up the "base," whatever or whomever that it is. Sanders has spelled out rather clearly and consistently he thinks Clinton would be a better president than Trump. Funny how hardly any of the other 17 GOP candidates for president are doing the same thing for Trump.

Not the best of pedigrees

Clinton Clings to the Myth of Systemic Racism
Trump Makes Sizable Gains With Black Voters
Black Lives Matter´s Senseless Destruction of Milwaukee
The Democrats´ Black Lives Matter Problem
President´s Shameful Record of Anti-Police Rhetoric
Falsehoods Fly Over the AR-15
Obama Puts Multiculturalism Above Americans´ Safety
#NeverTrump Officially Becomes a Bad Joke
Trump´s Minority Share Will Be Higher Than Most Think

---

Notice any patterns there?

I don't think he can credibly speak for Bernie or his supporters.

he's just trying to stir up some shit.

Actually that's a pretty low bar....."better than Trump" doesn't mean "better than me". It's gotta rankle how he was screwed over by the Dems.

And since he's wrong on his premise....but that's another discussion.

From that resume it sounds like he's precisely the Bernie type, actually.

That one was on FB....not sure how it got on my feed. I found the article fascinating.

Sorry it was HuffPo or DailyKos.

Oh for god's sake...

I wasn't aware that was a Bernie type position.

Come on man... I believe you can find more credible stuff than this guy's crap.

How many of Sanders views do you think Trump aligns with?

He spoke more strongly against Trump than he did on Clinton even during the primary.

If you are trying to pretend otherwise, you are either hoping to fool people with misinformation or are completely unaware of how someone like Sanders thinks.

When someone like Sanders is unsuccessful, he doesn't look to get revenge, he looks for what he feels is best for the country.

Sanders made it quite clear many times that he does not feel that is Trump.

The guy who used an alt right white supremacist website as a source on another thread really does not have the credentials to lecture Bernie on integrity or other moral issues. Sorry he's not helping you idol Trump to be president but he actually gives a damn about the country

Breaking news! Politics were engaged in during a political campaign!

Grow up. A central part of US politics is marketing. Politicians constantly attempt to polish their own images while marring the images of their opponents.

It should come as no surprise that a sizable part of the democratic party perceived Clinton as a more desirable general election candidate or that they engaged in various communications to that effect. Sanders sure as hell isn't surprised. He has parlayed his impact on the campaign to adjust the party in a direction more to his liking. But, then Sanders understands that winning or losing aren't the only considerations of a political life or a single campaign.

The fact that Sanders is now backing Clinton isn't necessarily a sign of compromised principles. He may well regard Trump, as do many others, as completely unsuitable for the office and thus backing Clinton as a necessary step in avoiding a Trump presidency.

What really gets me here is the two-fold hypocrisy of Bernie's supporters.

One the one hand they decry the stacked system, the rigged elections, the massaged news, the insider croynism that guranteed he never had a chance.

On the other hand they minimize any news or editorials calling this out, play up the Hildabeast like she's the Second Coming (well, Third Coming since Obama was supposedly the Second), and dismiss any news contrary to this as "just politics".

I never liked Bernie....his ideas are wonky, he has no understanding whatsoever of the world, how economics work, how things get made and done and sold. He is a well meaning and sincere but has been protected for far too long by others who share his flawed thinking.

By the same token however, I could respect Bernie. I knew he believed what he said. He was sincere and honest. He stood for something, and that was respectable.

At least then. Now he's just another sellout, and people still make excuses for him. When they're not covering for Hillary.

Remarkable the cognitive dissonance and willful ignorance on the part of so many of his supporters.

Odin help all of them...they'll need it.

Ah well....fantastic election at least!

Bernie lost all credibility when he bemoaned the super delegates and then tried to court them.

Actually what is sad is that people seem to think that the Bernie supporters should be flocking to someone like Trump who is the antithesis of all they believe in. A mentally unstable lying bigot whose tax plans always seem to bestow billions on the 1%

Sorry your not getting all the help you need electing The Giant Yam, but stop trying to shame people into it. You are really just embarrassing yourself.

I guess you Trump lovers are forgetting the number of times that Bernie said he would endorse the eventual winner of the Democratic primaries. That question came up right after Trump said he might not concede if he loses. When he was asked about it, Bernie very clearly said he would endorse Hillary if she won.

I guess you forgot that was before everybody -- and Bernie -- learned how the nomination was rigged for Hillary.

You seem to be the one with the selective memory there cupcake. Bernie also made it very clear he would work to make sure The Donald never made it anywhere near the White House. Trump's actions of the past few weeks manage to make that even more vitally important.

So sorry the alt right's dreams have been shattered. But its monumentally stupid, even for you, to expect Bernie Sanders to come to the rescue of that Dystopian vision.

Define "rigged" in this context and detail what was done.

Seriously? That's what $600K buys as a "lake house" in Yankee land? Jesus, that looks like some fixed up shack in Arkansas near Spavinaw River. You folks up in the Northeast are getting ripped off.

And also -- Trump wouldn't wipe his ass in a dump like that.

Bernie's real shame is that 40% of his supporters are so shortsighted they'd be willing to let an authoritarian candidate get elected to make a protest vote against the "establishment".

Except sadly your meme is unadulterated horseshit once again

"However, the original Seven Days report included information on how the Sanders' afforded the summer home. O'Meara Sanders said that she had inherited a vacation home in Maine, but the family was unable to make use of it due to its distance from their primary residence in Vermont, so she sold it and used the proceeds to finance the purchase of a more suitable vacation home in North Hero"

A little research beforehand might prevent you from proving yourself to be a complete moron by mindlessly posting lies. But why change such a "successful" formula

America's shame is that 100% of Clinton voters could vote for real change, and get it, instead of settling for more of the same. Fearful sheep, cowed by tales of the scary wolf, stay in their pens eating whatever slop the keepers deign to allocate them when the gate is open and freedom and tasty grass are right outside.
