Request: could anyone who plays The Delve please report back on a realistic play time for the whole thing?

Great question!

Also how long does it compare to Kindred Fire and Rise of Goblins? Forget how long they were to begin with...

It will certainly be much, much shorter than both Kindred Fire and RoAG. Delve is intended to be played in a single session, whereas the other two are campaigns.

I'm also wondering if it saves between realms (or whatever they're called...)

First try yesterday, four payers, we stopped after the third level and four hours of play...
There was two new players, so quite a lot of time looking for choosing the heroes, leveling etc...
It should be quickier with experienced players, but I hardly see how to make a complete game in less than 3 hours. More between 3 and 4.

Anyway, good game, first level was quite hard, second and third were easier. And we won two relics from core set and shadow of nerekhall campaign between levels, which was nice ! Leveling up seems to work nice.

Is it possible to save the progression on Delve to continue later?

I'm halfway through a playthrough of the Delve with a friend (2P game) and we're at around the 2 Hour Mark. We're going slowly because of a lot of reasons:

1) We're re-reading some Descent Rules (Don't forget the benefits of 2P Heal 2 or free attack).
2) I have a LARGE collection, so looking for Figs takes awhile.
3) We're playing using the PC rather than the phone so there's a lot of back and forth to activate the Monsters.

Road to Legend saves after every Round. So yes, it will save between each room and progression within that singular delve will be saved. The downside is that after you move to a new room, and decide to quit after the setup, the game will not instruct you how to perform the setup again, making it quite unfriendly for running a second session to complete the playthrough, unless you took photos of the placement of the Heroes and Monsters.

Note: The App will NOT keep track of your damage taken, items drawn, search cards, and placement of heroes as well as if your Hero used his special or not. It will simply remember the room progression of the delve (out of 6), your Morale, Heroes (but not classes unless you inputted it yourself) and your round number.

We played a session ourselves last night, on Hard mode with four players. Was brutal. Took 2.5 hours to get through the first two levels before we lost. Would estimate a full game played to a win would take about 6 hours.
