Was there supposed to be some sort of manual or even an informational piece of paper with this expansion?

It looks like it's just a standard "add to your base game" set, but it's still surprising that there's nothing at all in the box.

Hi, Chad - No manual needed for this one - everything you need is printed right on the two included dividers.

Enjoy the game!

@Game Salute:

What about the new Player Cards?

Should they just to be added to corresponding card sets in the base game?
Can they be used in any game?
Or should they only be used in conjunction with the other expansion content?

Likewise for the new Villager and Wall cards?

I can't see them mentioned on the dividers at all.

The new Hero Cards require no special treatment. Any of them can be slotted in as part (or all) of your 8 Hero Cards for any given game.

The new Wall explains its own situation on the card. (Basically, you include it in the game as a thing you can buy, but it doesn't influence a Wall victory one way or another; Buying it as one of a set of exactly 8 Walls doesn't win, and buying the other 8 without it still does win.)

The new Villagers, we should have explained. The need slipped past us because we added them in when we needed a stretch goal. So we had a thing we'd tested, but we hadn't thought all the way through the logistical implications of adding it.
The ideal is to swap them in for the same card type (Villager vs Traveler) and corner symbol (Trader in for Mayor or Merchant, for instance).
However, outside of games against the Demons or Lycanthropes (where the size of the Traveler deck is specifically influencing the monsters' abilities) I've found you can do a looser setup: Have your starting Town Deck be any 10 Villagers who aren't Travelers, and put the rest in the Traveler deck. This increases the space between Infiltrators, but also increases the negative effect for failing to buy, say, a Gravedigger.

If the villager thing with expansion isn't clear, can you add the details into main FAQ? I will print it at some point. A separate nicely layout sheet for expansion will do fine too
