I've seen pawns for the base game here. Has anyone made paper pawns for all official expansions? I know a lot of the expansions use more of the base pawns but there are some figures that are not. I'm not trying to buy more figures that take up space so much as to have the special pawns available to play various dl scenarios. Many require the extra scenario pawns. Paper/cardboard pawns fit that niche just right. I've tried to see if the pathfinder pawns would double use and I don't see much in the way of full illustrations of the pawns available in the packs to make a proper judgement call. Any tips guys?

I belive that you can find set of monster icons (the one used in quest books) in high quality on yeolde in. I think someone already made portable HQ using those So you might want to just look for those

Try searching One Monk Miniatures. Expansion-specific standees created by Jabbro are there. To get started, check out Hoards 81-83. They have just about everything for the expansions. You'll have to search for the Elven Warrior, Elven Archer, and Giant Wolf. I think they can be found in one of the downloads, bit I can't seem to relocate it. Still , you can view his png files from this forum (see Wolf and Forrest Elves.)

Flat pawns are great as a space saver. I realized just now that you could print flat tokens with vital stats on each monster. With a circular design intended to be glued onto wooden disc it could work. It could have a circular band around the edge with the monsters name and primary stats. Has anyone ever attempted this for HQ monsters? It would make sense for all those DIY fans.

Some ideas here:

Goodbye Minis, Hello Tokens:
https://boccobsblog.wordpress.com/tag/dd-tokens/

1 inch circle cutters are US $6.00 on aliexpress, 1" +2", US $21.00.
They have square cutters too.

30/40mm wooden discs are cheap on eBay, you could glue paper on top and trim with a razor blade.
Aliexpress has 120 1" discs for US $6.75.

For expansions, I would print plausible images from the net, glue them back to back, and stick on wooden bases. Like the guy in the middle here (AHQ Skaven):

Oooh, status discs:

DIY tokens:

Standup tokens (You could crop the monster card images and put them on stands like this):

If you google, "monster tokens" there is a lot of D&D stuff.
Poker chips are 40mm.

You can use this as a basis for the Heroquest expansions:
