Luke Peterschmidt mentions in his "Ramblings from Luke Peterschmidt" section of the DA:FL rulebook that "a good deck will usually be made up of one-third Character cards and two-thirds other stuff."
How accurate is this? Are there more precise guidelines you use when building decks? What kind of ratios can you get away with when building DA:FL decks? Are there absolute minimums for each card type, where dropping below that quantity in your deck severely impedes your ability to compete/win?
It's a general guideline. Back when I was playing DA:FL, I followed this guideline for most decks I made. You want to be able to field characters consistently as not having more than your opponent in play will put you are a defensive disadvantage.
