This reminds me of a thread that asked, "Is there MB for this?" No other explanation. I frantically tried to figure out what was going on until someone pointed out it just meant "microbadge."

Grams per square meter?
Global System for Mobile Communications?
Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre wine?

Game, set, match?
Goal-surrounded motivation?
Goat-sucking mascot?

Shit, really? You're asking for the game's DENSITY? That's hardcore.

And now I wonder what its specific gravity is. No interest in finding the melting point. shake

I have no idea how that relates to board games.

I have to ask, just the base game? Including all the expansions?

I guess you're speaking of the cards, right ? Their stock quality (280, 300, 310 ...) ?

I'm going out on a limb and guess that "gsm" is referring to the thickness of the cards.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. In general, most of us recommend sleeving the cards because it's a deck-building game and you're constantly shuffling and it's inevitable for the cards (especially the starter cards) to show wear and tear.

You could weigh yourself with and without the cards, then divide the difference by the surface area of a card. The imprecision of a typical bathroom scale would probably give you enormous error, though.

That's it; time to break into a physics lab. ninja

It's because I see kickstarters referring to gsm and want to use Legendary as a standard to compare with those.

by gsm I mean the thickness of the cards. The gsm shows how durable the cards can be.

Unfortunately a higher gsm means very little about the cards' durability or their feel when shuffling. Other manufacturing aspects also impact that a great deal. Specifically, how the cards are finished and whether the cards are black-core, blue-core, or another (white, I think, is just paper? Can't recall). Anyway, I've given up trying to determine card quality by statistics since even when I handle them side-by-side, I can't determine which is which. I know whether I like a given card, of course, but I can't tell why or even reliably predict how well they'll wear.

Chill out. The guy's trying to compare the quality of cards in Marvel Legendary to an as-yet-unreleased Kickstarter.

300 gsm smooth finish from PrinterStudio are damn near identical feel/durability-wise to the official Legendary cards. I would say that would be a decent starting point to use for comparison purposes.

No, you don't.

Your starting deck would weigh more than 3.5Kg!

Many other Kickstarters include card quality increase as a stretch goal.

The Tiny Epic games set their increase to 310gsm for the playing card size.

Their cards are a good quality I think and on par with Legendary.

What, all the rational units of measurements with a conversion rate that makes sense scaring you off?

This is from a real game at a convention. Each person is holding one card from the player's hand. There's video footage that I saw once floating around out there somewhere too.
