What if I don't like politics?
You do NOT have to like politics to play Electability. In fact most of our play testers were intimidated by the game’s political theme, but then found they loved it and actually left understanding a bit more about how the process works.
What if I don't like Trump or Clinton?
We know not everyone is into Trump or Clinton. A lot of people don't even want to vote for Gary Johnson. If you fall into this category, don't worry! We have added all of your favorite candidates from the Primary Election. But wait, there’s more! We also added some alternate candidates who you might only dream would ever run for President. Candidates like Stephen Colbert, Ellen Degeneres, Will Smith and Steph Curry!
How do I play the game?
Electability is a turn-based game where you play as a presidential candidate on your race to the White House. You draw cards and strategically choose when to play them to your advantage. Your goal is to lock in 270 or more electoral votes, but it won't be easy. Along the way your opponents will try to block you!
They will play scandal cards to embarrass you and force you to lose votes! They will demand a recount and get your votes thrown out.
If recount is played, they may fish an unplayed card out of your hand. But don't worry; if you have a campaign manager card in your hand it can protect you!
There are also strategy cards that you can use like grass roots and rock the vote to give you a competitive edge.
What makes this game worth playing?
The game gets competitive very quickly and as the race to become the president gets close to 270 votes, it gets very, very exciting!
