Salut les cousins !

I have a friend who'll be travelling from Versailles to Montreal in a couple of weeks, and he offered to bring back some games from me.

So I thought I'd use that opportunity to order the likes of Lorenzo il Magnifico and First Class: Unterwegs im Orient Express from an online shop and have them shipped to him.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Ideally in France but not necessarily so: I just don't want shipping to run too high.

Thanks for your help!

That's a Palm Pilot on the left, and a pink iPod mini on the right. Yes, I've been doing BGTG that long!

Living in france, I also recommend philibertnet ... good price and shipping rates.

Also, sometimes it is cheaper to buy from Germany. You can get a reasonable/good shipping cost from:

Hexasim is my go to shop for wargames without a doubt!

Absolutely excellent customer service from Christophe and great prices. Free shipping in France for orders over 75 euros. Considering the weight of some games that's pretty good.

Focus on wargames though. If wargames are your thing, give them a go. I have only had great experiences with them.

(no, I'm not on their payroll)

Also, Variantes has a good selection at resonable prices for games and shipping. Great walk-in store with friendly service too.

Ludifolie was mentioned too. Again, good prices for wide selection of games and shipping. Excellent customer service in store for those of you who are in/near Paris.

Hexasim, €160 and over for free shipping to the Netherlands.

I've been buying wargames there for years.
Mind you the shop is mainly wargames anyway.

Just find them a bit slow to respond at times.
They have become much better compared to previous experiences, but..

I think that may get even worse now that we've brought it to the attention of so many others.

Philibert and Ludifolie complement each other pretty well. I mostly stick to these two. Depending on the games, they can be a bit more expensive at one or the other.
Philibert usually has more games that can be difficult to get, and the occasional promo. But they can also have a hard time getting some foreign games.
If your friend can make it to Paris, Troll2Jeux can order directly when asked, but they are quite expensive.

The real question, though, is: would it really be more expensive than ordering them through Canadian online retailers? Our shipping costs tend to be insane here, and ordering from the USA can still be less expensive than ordering from France.
