Not sure it's quite what you're asking for, but Leaving Earth is a solo game about the space program. It's an economic game in that you have a limited amount of funds to carry out your objectives, and there is quite a bit of other math involved regarding physics and rocket propulsion.

I'm guessing you were thinking more like a solo euro, which I don't have a suggestion for, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Guess I was thinking more of the 18xx games when I asked the question. Leaving Earth is indeed a game that would fit the general question though. I have t played it but should perhaps look into it.

Not interested in PNP, actually.

Nice to meet you!

The only one that I see mentioned frequently is DRCongo, but I have not played it myself. The rules are available of course, so that might give you an idea of how the game works.

Edit - Others that you might look into:
Silverton - No AI, just trying to make the most profit. It is an economic train game, and works very well solitaire.
Merchant of Venus (second edition) - Pick up and deliver, very good solitaire.
Forge War - Seen this mentioned a few times too.

It seems to be an underdeveloped category, true economic games that play well solitaire.

How economic are you looking for?

With games in the 'Economic' category filtered by solo capable, and sorted by rank I have the following - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/search/boardgame?sort=rank&advs... of which I think At The Gates of Loyang is brilliant!
