I'm looking for 2+ player games that my girlfriend will enjoy.

Some examples I think she'll like are:

Sushi Go.
Iello's The Hare And Tortoise.
Medici The Card Game (not yet available).

Hopefully that will give you an idea of the type of games I'm looking for - let me know if I've missed any crucial information!

Thanks in advance!

Mr Jack Pocket
Hive or Hive Pocket

Takenoko
King of Tokyo
Love Letter or Lost Legacy
Codenames
Blokus
Rhino Hero - never played but looks simple and fun
Wackee Six aka Nerts
Hanabi
Colt Express

3+
Spyfall
Coup

These are what my wife enjoys mostly. She will play longer games though if I don't ask to play anything with her for a few weeks, so that might be worth trying as well.

My wife and I enjoy Battle Line, which has just be re-printed under the original title, Schotten-Totten. Splendor is also a very good two player game.

Believe it or not, cribbage is her "go to." Pandemic, Small World, and Dominion are some good heavier games that work well with two players. For a push your luck game--Can't Stop.

Jaipur

2 players (competitive)
Very easy rules
Beautiful components
Language-independent
Small box
Small price
Small table footprint
Short playtime
Setup can be a bit tedious, considering the short playtime (sorting tokens, giving the deck a really good shuffle)
Hidden easter to be found in the cards x)

Takenoko

2-4 players (competitive) - works very well with just 2 players
Easy rules
Gorgeous components
Language-independent
No direct conflict (players' goal cards are hidden)
Luck is involved (random goal card draws)
Panda !

My go-to games for family and friends outside the hobby are Morels, Tides of Time, Splendor, and Abraca...what?. Bonus points for Morels and Tides of Time as they are super portable.

Perhaps you and your girlfriend can try Demon Espionage (The Card Game). Its a fun, dynamic and easy to learn party game catered for any type of occasion!

The artworks are based on our perception of cute demons and docile monsters from the underworld.

We have just launched on Kickstarter though, so the latest you can get your game is on the March of 2017 should we hit our goal.

Here is the Kickstarter link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1887688573/demon-espion...

If you like Iello products, you could try Innovation. Either version looks great IMHO, but you'll probably like Iello's the best. I also second votes for Jaipur and 7 Wonders Duel. Maybe look into Onitama for the Chess-like feel, if strategy games appeal to you both.

+1 Love Letter, and the cool thing about this game is that it has various implementations, so you can get the one that appeals the most to you guys. Personally, we really like the Five Rings edition.

I almost want to recommend San Juan, but it might be just a little heavy for a non-gamer. Perhaps after you've introduced her to some of the others mentioned.
