the ship arrived in Hamburg, Germany, we completed the customs clearance and we wait now the logistic company to transfer our goods to the warehouse. We repeat that from Germany we will ship games to all the countries except USA. For USA we have the other ship. As soon we receive them, we will start separating all the products to see if we miss anything. The warehouse will send us a list and we will compare it with what we had ordered from the factory. In case we miss something, we will let you know and we will ship a 2nd smaller pack. Since we have not yet seen the container we calculate all cases. So in case we miss something, is a mistake from the factory, we notify them, they send the missing stuff by courier and not again with ship and we send a second smaller pack to you.
Regarding the US ship. The shipping company instead of sending the ship to the nearest port of the location of Funagain Games, they sent it to New York port since from previous years the ship was sent there, and from there they booked a smaller shipment to the nearest port of Funagain Games. They could unload it in New York, and transfer the games, but the costs were too high, so they changed ships. Funagain will handle this shipment since they know the customs in their area and will have the custom clearance in the next few days.
We will follow the same procedure for the US ship as we do now with our German vendor in order to be sure that everything is ok. Today we will close the option to change address since we must send the final lists to the warehouses. So if you have any changes, please do them today. From the moment we will take the goods list from the warehouse we need 1-2 days max to see if something misses or not and match all the items together. We do that to minimize the mistakes since we will deliver 2 kickstarter campaigns.
Please do note the following:
Regarding the US shipments: It is rare a package not to be delivered. In some cases the vendor has not added the order in the system therefore the package is not sent. From past experience with Funagain most packages arrived undamaged and on time (3-5 business days). In some cases where the state of a backer is further it takes more time. In any case you can always email us at email@example.com. Also Funagain provides tracking number for all the US shipments.
Regarding the EU ship. The delivery from Germany to Spain delays. We do not know but every year the warehouse informs us about that. We have detected packages that have arrived faster in UK rathen in Spain. And with no exception. The warehouse follows the same procedure as with the other countries but for Spain is always the same. The German vendor provides tracking numbers for shipments out of EU and for the big packages inside EU. For small packages they do not (in the case a backer has a small package like just 1 box). They do not provide because this service is quite expensive and would affect significant the shipping to each backer. However almost all packages are deliverable. The case of returned packages or lost is lest than 3%. The delivery time varies depending the destination (3-10 business days). The tracking numbers are added automatically from the system since it understands if a package is small or big. As we do in all of our campaigns, you can always email us and ask us for further info. We know that in 1-2 days the games will be in the German warehouse. After that we need some days to separate and create all orders for Kickstarter, Spieleschmiede and Giochix. However priority is the open orders we have with some backers and their missing painted minis.
