I played once and it took 35 minutes. Solitaire four player using dice to randomize some of the decisions.

I'm thinking the 2-player 3 hour playtime is a joke?

That doesn't even sound the like the game I have, the Steve Jackson Snits! double game. What version are you playing?

After some rereading of the rules, the SJG version doesn't have you roll up stats for anything and you don't switch sides either. You each write orders for smashing or moving the Snandergrab but you all run at the same time.

I played the original from Dragon magazine issue 10, which lists the multiplayer rules (all run at the same time) as optional. Hmm, guess I'll have to try it with 2 players running their snits simultaneously and compare play times!

If you're interested in the other changes, a pdf of the rules is available at the website, there's a link here on the BGG page. It might not even be anything like the game you are used to playing.

Wow! I was wondering how this possibly took 3 hours. I am also only really familiar with the Snits! box set version. I didn't realize how streamlined it is from the original, but I am quite glad for it! I'll have to dig it out and play again and check how long it took. Rolling up stats for 18 snits! Yikes!
