Subject: Getting a suitable chaos bag for this game? rss

Given that a main mechanism in this game is the token bag, it would seem a shame to just use the box lid for the chaos 'bag'. So I'm looking to buy a bag for the purpose (albeit not for too much money - I need to keep some cash back for buying Mythos packs!).

What is a good option? I've seen some dice bags on Amazon UK that look the part, but they mostly look quite small. From anyone who's seen the components in real life, what would be the minimum bag size that would fit the tokens and allow a hand to creep in to pluck one out?

Kengi has some cool designs and the bags are great because they stand up on their own like a cup.

I ordered a black one with the Elder Sign and a cosmos inner lining.

You can also pay 4 dollars more and get any image custom embroidered.

Immortal, it is a great container.

Please give us a link to where we might follow your lead and purchase.

Edit: Never mind, I found and ordered it:

Just don't offer your friends red wine from that goblet, I don't think they will trust you.

It was talked about here.

He's making awesome bags and offers pick up at BGGcon for the Arkham LCG bags.

That's a really neat idea, perhaps I will also pick up a Cthulhu chalice for chaos bag as well.

Looks cool, but it will get tilt every time. Very impractical.

Doubt it but you can just pass the goblet around, wouldn't be too much a problem.

I thought this could work well given it stands and seems reasonably deep:

I'm going to try with the App on an always on tablet. If it's too cumbersome, I'm going to use a cheap cloth bag from a convenience store.

I'm using a "Castellan" dice bag from Cottontail Kite's etsy shop.
It's faux leather on the outside with rich red & gold fabric on the inside.
It stands up & you can roll the top down for easy acccess. I'll probably also add a pewter cthulhu hat pin I have. Hopefully it will look kinda like something the investigators might use or find.

For those in the UK (like the OP) then

https://www.thediceshoponline.com/dice/10730/Cthulhu-Elder-S...

or

https://www.thediceshoponline.com/dice/9430/Cthulhu-Elder-Si...

(depending on what kind of Elder Sign you prefer).

FFG makes a black velour dice bag that has green tentacles on it. I bought one from ebay for $7 USD with free shipping a while back to use as a monster bag for eldritch horror.

I have all of the Eldritch Horror expansions and there is plenty of room to shake the bag and randomize the many many monster tokens. The Arkham LCG tokens appear to be much much smaller, so I'm sure this bag will offender plenty of space, and since the bag is black with deeper (rather than wider) opening, you won't be able to accidentally "see" any tokens in it while drawing.

I have dozens of dice bags from Dragon Dice. They tend to get sucked into games that need bags.

I ended up getting one from https://www.etsy.com/shop/GeekCraftShop also. Should be shipping out to me in a few days, but I've talked to the guy that does them, seen lots of pictures, and they're SUPER nice. I can't wait to get mine.

Slightly off topic, but do you think that FFG bag would be big enough for all the Arkham Horror monsters?
